WebJun 26, 2009 · I've used GHS Bright Flats, Gretsch Flatwound Jazz strings, and D'Addario Chromes so far. I might try some other brands as well. The Gretsch flats were too heavy for me. I had a heck of a time bending strings. The GHS strings were fine. The Chromes were fine also. I wish that Gretsch made the flatwounds in a 10 or 11 set. eldridge plays and scripts
